I believe that you are the expert on your own story. Creating a safe, warm, and affirming space for clients to come as they are without judgment is of utmost importance to me as a therapist. I want you to feel that you are known, seen, and heard – by entering your story with a sense of curiosity and understanding. I enjoy working with clients who have specific goals that they would like to accomplish in therapy – but if you’ve never experienced this before or don’t know where to begin, that’s okay too. We’ll work together to find your expertise, implement techniques you can take outside of our sessions, and start to fulfill your dreams. As someone who has been on the other side of the counseling room, I know firsthand how imperative it is to connect and vibe with your counselor. If I’m not a good fit for you, I’ll refer you to another therapist who might be. I provide both in-person and Telehealth sessions. My out-of-pocket fee is $125. I am willing to slide my fee to $75 a session in order to meet the needs at hand. I graduated in August 2021 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University. My practice is informed by a blend of Attachment Theory, Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m developing clinical expertise in writing letters for gender-affirming surgery, sexual and gender identity issues, couples therapy, and a variety of mental illnesses. I’m passionate about empowering people to become who they truly are so that they can achieve the goals and dreams they have for themselves. I also enjoy finding the best taco places around, dancing, traveling the world, and spending quality time with friends. I’d love to spend time with you and hear your story.

You may be reading this because you are struggling. Struggling through school, a loss, a break up, or just... life. You may be tired of everyone telling you to just get over it, or tired of everyone telling you they just don't get it. You need someone to relate. You need someone who gets it. Challenges that come in life are tough, and I entered this field because I went through those challenges, and if we’re honest, I struggled too. I felt alone, but I'm here now to tell you that you don't have to feel that way too. I will meet you where you are in your walk of life right now. I’ve helped clients not just through tough chapters, but to excel and be there best selves for what comes next. I have a passion for helping people like you achieve these goals, and I look forward to hearing how I can support you in your journey. Let's talk soon, so you can tell me a bit about your situation and get all your questions answered.

I work best with students seeking to understand the deeper sources of their issues. Many students experience anxiety and depression especially when first entering college. This can be very difficult and disruptive personally, socially and academically. Often there are feelings of deep sadness, uncertainty, fear, loneliness, shame and anger. There is a way through this difficult time and I would be very interested to work it through with you.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years of experience. I provide an atmosphere of trust and comfort where clients feel at ease. My style of therapy is engaging, warm and goal-oriented. Others have described me as authentic, genuine, non-judgmental and empathic. I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, school/work related challenges, family conflict, relationship issues, life transition issues and parenting difficulties. I believe there is no “one size fits all” form of treatment. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them find the necessary tools to grow, develop, and achieve their goals. I am skilled in a variety of interventions including the evidenced based approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I draw from these approaches, depending on my client’s goals and what I deem will be most effective. I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I practiced and trained in Chicago for 9 years before moving to Indiana. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in various settings including psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programming, intensive outpatient programming, within a group practice and a community mental health center.

Here’s a quick bit of information about my education, and areas of focus. I graduated from University of Louisville with Masters in Couple’s and Family Therapy, as well as Social Work. The majority of my training is in family systems therapy. In short, that means I believe all things function as a system and are interconnected. My approach to therapy is person centered, informal, and conversational. I believe it’s important to look at the whole picture, instead of solely placing the weight of the problem on one person. I also enjoy looking at Mind- Body- Spirit connection, which in my opinion tends to promote overall well-being. My focuses areas are: daily stressors, Depression, Anxiety, Life Adjustments, Relational concerns, etc. Some of the techniques I pull from frequently are: CBT,DBT, Distress Dis-tolerance( Mindfulness), IFS, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, and motivational interviewing. Therapy is not a one size fit all. It’s important that the time you spend in session is designed for you. My work with you is tailored to you. My goal in session is to collaborate with you on your desired plan. I see myself as an assistant/ collaborator to helping you turn over the pieces in your life that need your attention. Therapy is the space and time where you are given the opportunity to be who you are. It is the space for you to be accepted and validate in a safe environment.

I work best with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or trying to make sense of a lot of emotions at once. You might be navigating big transitions, relationship stress, academic pressure, or feeling unsure about who you are or what comes next. Sometimes everything looks “fine” on the outside, but internally it feels heavy or hard to manage. The students I work with are often thoughtful and self-aware, but may feel stuck, overthinking, or emotionally drained. They’re looking for a space where they can slow down, understand what they’re feeling, and learn how to manage stress in a way that actually works for them. If you’re open to exploring your experiences, building emotional awareness, and finding more balance and clarity, we would likely be a good fit.
