I’m Heather Wyatte. I help individuals, couples, and families learn to manage conflict and life’s stressors by better understanding each others’ needs. Life can feel hard if you are experiencing personal challenges, addictions, complicated issues, or adjusting to new life stages or changes. Managing relationships and effectively communicating with partners or family members can feel even harder during those times. But don’t fret, it can be easier to talk about the hard things when there is a mediator present and you are given tools to help. That is what Whole Family Therapy specializes in.
Sometimes we feel like our light has been dimmed by our past experiences and ongoing life stressors. Maybe others have noticed that you have been more irritable, distant, or just “different”. Whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or other life circumstances, don’t let that hold you back from building the life you deserve. You’re here because you finally want to take back control of your life and begin to find your true self again. Your struggles do not have to define you and you deserve to be happy. It's time to put yourself first and reach out for help. Let us work together in finding balance through being present, practicing self-care, and positive thinking.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and ADHD specialist who can help you develop real strategies that are proven to work in order to better manage your workload, productivity, truly understand your needs, and develop healthy relationships. Reach out for a free consult call to determine if I am a good fit.
Everyone Copes Differently There is no one right way to cope with trauma, triggers, and other difficulties you’re struggling with. However, when your stress and anguish affect your relationships, work, education, self-confidence, or general ability to feel happy, there has to be another way. Wherever you are in your healing journey, your feelings are valid, and you deserve to be heard. But getting the help you need means more than talking to someone who looks great on paper. Finding a therapeutic strategy that works means connecting to a certified professional who understands what you’re going through, how your life is being impacted, and what it means to feel “normal” again. You are enough. My Wellness Center is here to help during your healing journey.

Nutrition care for Intuitive Eating, eating disorder recovery, body image healing, and food peace. I support adults and teens (14+) who feel stuck in food rules, body image stress, and eating disorder recovery. Together, we work toward eating that feels calmer, safer, and more connected-without diets, guilt, or shame. In nutrition counseling we will explore the origins of your eating and exercise behaviors, recognize your unique barriers and create a personalized plan to help you find a balanced and peaceful relationship to food. My practice philosophy is rooted in mindfulness, intuitive eating principles and body positivity. Many college students today lack the coping skills that are necessary to address life’s ups and downs. They often feel disconnected emotionally, and are unable to handle stress, peer and relationship issues, or the school, college, or work environment. When a teen is struggling with academics, they receive tutoring or support to develop the skills they need to succeed. Emotional health is no different. Teens need tools to help them regulate their emotions, develop connections with others, and create a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle. I take an integrated, solution-focused approach to working with adolescents and young adults who are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I treat the whole person, not just their symptoms, with the goal of giving them the tools they need to manage whatever comes their way – now and for the rest of their lives.

Hello! My name is Christy Nyakana, and I have been a licensed therapist for 19 years. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Master of Social Work degree in 2003. Since then, I have been very fortunate to work with amazingly diverse and ever-resilient clients. I have provided therapy in psychiatric inpatient settings, schools, community mental health clinics, Dr.’s offices, private practice, and military bases. Currently, I provide online teletherapy through a HIPAA compliant platform. I have significant experience with adjustment issues, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, women's issues, military culture, and pre/post-surgical bariatric counseling. I am an LGBTQ+ informed therapist who is knowledgeable about the kink and polyamory/ENM community. Additionally, I take diversity and racism seriously. I am a supporter of LGBTQ+, BLM and Women's Rights. Although I cannot claim to know firsthand how unsafe--and unseen--many marginalized people feel, what I can guarantee is, that when you are talking with me, I will do everything I can to help you feel safe and accepted, regardless of our differences. I recognize that life circumstances can be challenging, unexpected, confusing, and leave us feeling overwhelmed and not understood. It can be helpful to talk with someone who has the experience and compassion to help you discover the best path to meet your personal goals. I am committed to providing therapy that is always positively focused and encourages self-acceptance. Learning to focus on our strengths to make healthy choices physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually are all part of long-term health and success. Hopefully, that is something I can help you with!
