As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted. My identity and experiences have deepened my understanding of the ways culture, family dynamics, systemic barriers, and lived experiences can shape mental health. This perspective allows me to approach therapy with curiosity, humility, and respect for each client's unique story. I work primarily with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, self-worth challenges, life transitions, and stress. I am especially passionate about supporting first-generation individuals, Black and Caribbean communities, Asian Americans, and LGBTQIA+ clients, while welcoming people from all backgrounds. Many of the clients I work with appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable for you. Together, we will explore patterns, process difficult emotions, build coping skills, and develop greater self-understanding. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, connected to themselves, and empowered to make choices that align with their values and goals.

Sometimes words don’t fully capture our experiences or do them justice. My journey into this work began with the discovery that art, music, movement, and other forms of creative expression can communicate the parts of ourselves that language alone cannot reach. These expressions are deeply human and can become powerful pathways to insight, healing, and connection. Therapy asks for honesty, vulnerability, and commitment, but it does not have to focus only on pain. My approach balances depth and growth with humor, curiosity, and discovery. Art therapy is not about being “good” at art; it is about using creativity and reflection to gain insight, process experiences, and foster new perspectives and possibilities. Together, we will explore patterns, relationships, challenges, and goals while strengthening resilience, quieting self-critical thoughts, and developing practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Our work creates the foundation for deeper self-understanding, greater balance, and lasting growth.

Therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client. My goal is to understand where you are at this moment in your life, help you to identify your goals and work with you, as a partner, to attain them. My approach to individual therapy is short term and goal oriented. I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address a wide range of problems (see problems treated below). These skills based approaches allow individuals to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors, improve awareness of, and control over emotions, increase tolerance of difficult emotions, and enhance ability to live mindfully in the present moment. Throughout treatment we will monitor your progress and make any necessary changes to help you continue moving towards your goals. Therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes weekly, though this may vary based on the type of treatment. Therapy can be brief (12-16 sessions) or may last longer depending on your presenting problems and goals.

I am an LCSW specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma and co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and trauma. An eating disorder can consume your life. Eating disorders are about complex issues that impact your physical and mental health. They are a way of coping with difficult thoughts and emotions through disturbances in eating behaviors. Full recovery is possible. Using psychodynamic interventions, EMDR and behavioral techniques such as CBT, DBT and Mindfulness, I help clients access and express their thoughts and emotions, find relief from physical symptoms, heal through practicing self-compassion, and become motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives. My work is collaborative and supportive, emphasizing emotional healing and personal growth. Together we will work creatively to explore your life, identify ways to overcome your challenges, and connect with your strengths and resilience.

Hello! I’m Rachel, and welcome to therapy! If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can be a space to better understand what you're going through and begin creating meaningful change. I’m a queer psychotherapist trained in clinical social work and trauma-informed care. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and also welcome individuals of all identities who are navigating identity exploration, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma including CPTSD/PTSD, and more. Also, I offer ketamine integration therapy. I have additional experience working with college students and young adults, and understand the joys and challenges that come with this phase of life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood so we can explore what’s bringing you to therapy and work toward meaningful change. Together, we may focus on understanding patterns in your thoughts and relationships, processing difficult (and happy!) experiences, and developing tools that help you move through life with greater clarity and resilience.

Do people tell you that you worry too much? That you should try to "be positive" or "stop overthinking everything all the time"? Do you ever wonder how other people manage to not care as much as you do about larger social issues and big questions? Does this ever make you feel anxious or overwhelmed? You are not alone. Together we can help find solutions, improve your sense of self and your relationships, provide safety and warmth, and start to create meaning and order in the chaos of our world. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, relationship problems, and work difficulties. My approach is holistic, honoring the mind-body connection and individual strengths. I work best with clients who have a natural curiosity about themselves and others. My style is warm, honest and nonjudgmental, and my practice draws from psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, EMDR, internal family systems, and attachment-based neuroscience.

When you make the decision to attend therapy, you are making the decision to prioritize your wellbeing in a fundamentally unique way. Therapy is something that can be challenging, but also transformative– Especially for those who have not been listened to, believed, or had the freedom to pause and practice introspection due to the demands of life. Knowing the challenges of finding a therapist who can understand your life experiences, I prioritize working with communities with whom I share personal experience. This includes, but is not limited to: LGBTQIA+, polyamorous/ENM, BDSM/kink, sex worker, SA/DV survivors, neurodivergent, chronically ill & disabled communities. My work is grounded in Relational-Cultural Therapy, which emphasizes the importance of the relationship between therapist and client as an essential part of the therapeutic process. I aim to minimize power dynamics in the room between therapist and client, and firmly believe you are the expert of your life. Rather than an authority in the room, I see my role as a collaborator in helping you achieve your therapy goals. For those who wish to know my social location: I am a Black, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, polyamorous, non-binary therapist in my 30s. I come from a middle-class background in a mixed race household, am a US citizen, and was raised Catholic but am not religious. I approach therapy as a team effort grounded in trauma-informed, anti-racist, fat liberatory, sex & kink positive, and feminist ideals. My therapy practice is eclectic, borrowing from multiple modalities in order to find the best approach for each individual client, couple, or polycule. Common approaches I incorporate include: EFT (emotion focused therapy), IFS (internal family systems), Sex Therapy, and Attachment Theory. I work with clients on a variety of topics, but special interests include: Unpacking attachment wounds using IFS; Transition stages in Poly/ENM; Freedom from shame regarding sex & kink; Impacts of disability; Relationships to health, disordered eating, and/or fatness from a fat liberatory and body neutrality lens. Therapy with me is about understanding who you are, where you come from, and honoring what’s alive in you. Our work together is a collaborative unfolding. With a creative, holistic approach, I open the space to move beyond surface problem-solving and into the heart of your story—where healing, growth, and expansion can take root. Think of therapy less as a straight line and more as a spiral: each turn bringing deeper insight, greater clarity, and new ways of being. Together, we’ll create a grounded, compassionate space where your wholeness is remembered and your complexity is celebrated.

I am an Asian American therapist with over 10 years of experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, traditional and non-traditional. My aim as a therapist is to offer my clients a space where they can take the time from their otherwise hectic schedules to pause and be curious about their feelings, behaviors, and reactions. Often we can feel like we are moving from one task to another and before long, we lose touch with why we started on the path we are on in the first place. In therapy, one can reconnect with the parts of themselves needed to feel balanced and thrive. I also strongly believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key for one to be able to explore, reflect, and ultimately heal. As such, I prioritize in creating a safe, supportive space where we may work together to better understand your unique experiences.

I bring a non-judgmental approach to each session, and I meet clients where they are emotionally and spiritually. When working through the struggles adolescents and individuals may be experiencing, I use a supportive and holistic approach. In the course of our time together, we will process the impact of negative behaviors, and we will restore and set goals. Together we will work on growing your sense of self and meaning. While every therapeutic relationship has unique challenges, the common thread to all affirmative relationships is the presence of empathy, compassion, and sincere caring and understanding. "Have patience with all things, but first with yourself. Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being. You’re perfectly valuable, creative worthwhile person simply because you exist. And no amount of triumphs and tribulations can ever change that. Unconditional Self-Acceptance is the core of a peaceful mind.” St.Francis deSales

College and the years around it can be a lot, academic pressure, anxiety, relationships, identity, and sometimes experiences that are genuinely hard to carry alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps students and young adults find steadier ground. I specialize in trauma and have worked directly with college students, including those facing prejudice on campus and communities navigating crisis. Telehealth makes it easy to fit therapy around a packed schedule. If you're ready, I'd love to help.
