As a psychologist, I partner with clients to help them heal from raw emotional pain, recognize their inner strengths, and build resiliency in the face of life’s biggest challenges. My style is one that is warm and nurturing while also direct and honest. If you’re feeling stuck, not good enough, lonely, overwhelmed, devastated, or ashamed, you are not alone. I have dedicated my career to learning gold standard treatments to ensure that when clients have the courage to reach out for help, I am able to offer treatment interventions that they can trust will make a difference. I am a clinical specialist with expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, depression, complicated grief (suicide loss, perinatal loss), and unwanted sexual experiences (rape, sexual assault, harassment, violence). I began practicing in 2005 and have been a licensed psychologist since 2010.

Managing anxiety and chronic stress can be isolating, but you do not need to do it alone. Do you feel consumed by worry? Like you're always waiting for the next disaster to strike? Do you find it difficult to be present in your life due to racing thoughts or feelings of dread? Have you been struggling with the exhaustion, tension, or panic that never seems to leave you? You see where you want to be, but you're feeling stuck and are uncertain about the next steps. You can grow and heal by voicing your thoughts in a safe environment, exploring your emotions, and expressing yourself in a purposeful way! We are all trying to cope with life's continuous changes. During our sessions, we will evaluate where unhelpful thoughts and ways of coping originated from and create goals to lead to healthier habits and a deeper sense of self. Since the body and mind are connected, we will also focus on managing the physical symptoms of stress to support overall wellness. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize that everyone has a unique story and I would be privileged to hear yours and to walk alongside you in your healing journey. I invite you to reach out via email or my website to book a free 15-min consultation. During that time, we can discuss what therapy may consist of for you.

I specialize in working with college-aged students. I understand the unique pressures you face, from academic stress and relationships to social anxieties and figuring out your future path. I especially understand how confusing things can be when navigating independence for the first time, as well as, the onset of a mental health disorder. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey. I offer a warm, relational approach, creating a safe space where you can be heard and supported. Think of me as your partner in accountability – a listening ear when you need to vent, and a gentle nudge when you're ready to push yourself further. The goal is empowerment. I'll help you develop the skills and confidence to tackle challenges on your own, building the strength to become your best self.

Choosing to start therapy is a brave and meaningful step, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on this journey. My approach focuses on creating a welcoming, compassionate space where we can explore your experiences together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, identity exploration, or significant life transitions, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, with a specialization in working with LGBTQ+ couples and families. My background includes experience in Crisis Counseling through The Trevor Project, where I had the privilege of supporting LGBTQ+ youth during some of their most difficult moments. I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples work through relationship complexities, identity concerns, and the pressures of society. Whether you’re healing from family rejection, seeking to improve communication, or striving to build resilience, I’m committed to helping you foster healing and deeper connections. My therapeutic approach integrates models like Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, which enable me to address relational dynamics, empower clients to reshape their narratives and provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. I am a Ukrainian-born therapist-in-training with a lifelong passion for psychology. Though my journey into mental health wasn’t straightforward, it’s deeply personal. For years, I pursued a career in finance, believing it was the path to success and fulfillment. I thought I was living a happy life, but societal pressure had pushed me into a mold that didn’t feel authentic. The stress and constant pressure finally culminated in my first panic attack, followed by a severe episode of OCD that left me utterly defeated. Through years of therapy, healing, and self-discovery, I emerged stronger, with a profound appreciation for life and a renewed sense of purpose. Leaving my finance career behind, I stepped into the field of mental health to help others navigate their own “dark nights of the soul.” I aim to empower individuals to become their happiest, healthiest selves, unlocking their potential for growth and transformation on every level. In my work, I use evidence-based approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. My favorite interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we explore and challenge unhealthy beliefs and thought patterns that hold you back. I also take a trauma-informed approach, understanding that past experiences shape our behaviors and thoughts, often on a subconscious level. To treat anxiety and OCD, I employ Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), which help rewire the brain's response to fear and intrusive thoughts. These tools are backed by science and offer lasting change by utilizing the brain’s neuroplasticity—what fires together, wires together, as the neuropsychologist Donald Hebb famously said. And if you’re a Harry Potter fan like me, you might appreciate this: I often think of mental health struggles as Dementors, sucking away joy and energy, leaving us feeling powerless. But just as in the Wizarding World, there’s a way to protect yourself—the Patronus Charm! In therapy, evidence-based interventions, the therapeutic alliance, and empathy work like your Patronus, empowering you to fight back against the challenges that feel all-consuming. Together, we can work to summon your happiness and create a safe, fulfilling future.

I love working with people to understand their own patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. All of these patterns have a root cause, and have served you in some way at some time—even if they are now proving to be unhelpful or harmful. In our work together, we will come to better understand the problems you face, develop a plan to make a change, and then put that plan into action. I specialize in working with teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, BPD, ADHD, patterns of difficulty regulating emotions, and pervasive isolation/interpersonal conflict. I have extensive experience in behavioral modalities such as CBT and DBT, as well psychodynamic and trauma-focused therapy. My approach balances acceptance and validation of the challenges that may bring you to treatment, with the simultaneous need for change. I will pull from various types of therapy, depending on what is most appropriate for you. Our work together will be collaborative and iterative, while also structured and purposeful. Regardless of your particular reasons for seeking a therapist at this time, I will always prioritize your personal goals, identity and values—some of which may very well evolve over time. I hope to connect soon if you feel we may be a good match!
