I have worked with both college and graduate students and love supporting young adults during these years in their lives, a transformative period that is often filled with both opportunities and challenges. I have worked with students who present with anxiety, depression, academic stress, and relationship concerns. Together, we will work toward building resilience, improving mental health, and fostering personal growth during this important stage of your life.

Hi, I’m Ryan! I'm a psychotherapist and academic. I’ve worked extensively with therapy clients who are actively pursuing highly specialized training and completing high-stakes projects (e.g., dissertations, books, films). I've also helped many people who feel uncomfortable in social situations and who struggle with procrastination and perfectionism.
College and the years around it can stir up a lot. Anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, questions around substance use, and sometimes experiences that are genuinely hard to carry alone. If any of that feels familiar, you've found someone who understands. I work with adults and young adults, and I believe most of what brings people to therapy makes sense once we understand the story behind it. Many of the patterns causing you pain today were once the ways you learned to survive. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct, and I'll meet you with acceptance rather than judgment. A significant part of my work has involved supporting people through addiction and recovery, alongside trauma, attachment, and the search for identity. My approach draws on psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives, with attention to both mind and body. We'll move at your pace, and telehealth makes it easy to fit therapy around a full schedule. Whatever you're facing, you won't face it alone.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD-related concerns, phobias, and sleep difficulties Over the past several years, I have noticed that many college students struggle academically due to undiagnosed ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and attention-related concerns that may go overlooked. In response to this need, I have added comprehensive and affordable ADHD diagnostic testing to my practice to help students better understand their difficulties, access appropriate treatment recommendations, and obtain accommodations when clinically indicated for academic settings and standardized testing. In addition to ADHD testing, I frequently work with students experiencing anxiety, obsessive thinking, perfectionism, panic, OCD symptoms, sleep disruption, and stress related to academic performance and life transitions.
I have over 14 years of clinical experience. I have worked with an array of clients over the years which include focuses in anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and crisis stabilization. My goal is to create a safe space for my clients on their journey to personal growth and healing. I believe that everyone's story is unique to them and will develop a personalized approach for each client using evidence based treatment. I want clients who are feeling stuck to be able to have a place to process what they are going through and share helpful tools with them along the way. I want my clients to be able to have an increased insight in to their emotions and behaviors. I want to help my clients develop a better understanding of what their needs are and how to have those needs be met.

Kelly Solis is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the social service and behavioral health field. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked with various populations in a number of different settings. Currently, Kelly provides individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic, grief, or stress. Many of Kelly's clients experience feelings of sadness and low mood, sleep difficulties, low energy, trouble with concentration; as well as, feelings of anxiousness and worry, difficulty relaxing, and feelings of restlessness. She also provides support to those experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, loss, relationship issues/conflict, work stress, and trauma. Using CBT concepts, she educates clients on how one's thoughts can influence their feelings and behaviors. For those experiencing stress, Kelly works with her client to identify what is contributing to their distress and explore ways to improve coping, so that those stressors become more manageable. Kelly takes pride in meeting clients where they are and fosters a space where clients feel heard, safe, and where judgement does not exist. During the intake, Kelly will utilize that visit to gather information to understand the client's history and set goals together. She may assign homework which can help clients become more insightful as they move through the therapeutic process. Clients often leave sessions feeling relieved, understood, and overtime notice a reduction in symptoms. Whether it's your first time pursuing therapy or you're familiar with the process, it's important to choose someone who is a good fit and that meets your needs. Everyone deserves to have a space where they can be their authentic selves, express their feelings, receive unbiased feedback, and where they feel supported. I understand personally how challenging it can be dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other life issues, which helps me relate with clients on a deeper level. There's a life saying that I love which is "Grow through what you go through." I practice what is called Person-Centered Therapy, meaning it is adapted to you and your needs. I work by the belief that true growth and change comes not just from techniques or plans, but from our relationships with each other. Using a Person-Centered approach, I look to help each person identify and use their own strengths, interests and existing supports to create the positive and healthy life for themselves that they envision. I incorporate professional and personal experiences and interests to create a relationship with clients that will foster trust and communication.
With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in anxiety, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks, and social anxiety, as well as depression and ADHD.
