You are navigating the wild world of adulting, and let's be real, it's A LOT. Maybe you thought you had it all figured out in high school, but now you're staring down college, or a new job, or just trying to discover who you are, and you feel like everyone can see that you have no clue what you are doing. You're bombarded with classes, or trying to make rent, maintain relationships, and still keep up with what life throws at you. Maybe you're feeling totally isolated, just going through the motions of what you imagine a “real grown up” should be. You're feeling directionless, but the pressure to have it all together is everywhere. People come to me for a therapist who is genuine, honest, down to earth and doesn't patronize since therapy should be a place where you feel seen, understood and empowered. My style of therapy is fitting for those who think therapy "isn't for them." Together we can find your passions and purpose. Email or text me today for a free 15 minute consult. Let's go!
College and early adulthood can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. You may be trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and questions about your future, all while wondering if you’re the only one who doesn’t have everything figured out. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, burned out, lonely, stuck, or like you’re constantly overthinking. Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and care deeply about doing well. From the outside, they often appear to have it together, but internally they’re struggling with stress, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I won’t just sit back and nod, I ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and support you in developing healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to yourself and others. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in ways that promote meaningful growth. I provide virtual therapy for college students and young adults throughout Florida, New Mexico, New York, and Texas, making it easier to fit therapy into your busy schedule. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, engaged, and committed to helping you navigate this stage of life, I’d be honored to work with you.
Araceli is trained in both Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), evidence-based approaches that help people better understand and work with chronic conditions such as chronic (unexplained) pain, anxiety, migraines, dizziness/vertigo, IBS, tinnitus, fatigue, brain fog and other stress-related symptoms. These therapies help patients relate to symptoms in a new way—by reducing fear, strengthening the mind-body connection, processing difficult emotions, and helping the brain “unlearn” the patterns that keep symptoms stuck. Araceli’s work focuses on supporting individuals living with chronic conditions to feel safer in their bodies, more emotionally connected, and more empowered in their healing.
Hi! I’m Dariel; like Ariel, but with a D! I am licensed in IL(LCPC) and TX(LPC). I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator--A highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. I integrate her work and research of vulnerability and shame resiliency into all of my work with clients in their personal and professional lives. When I see clients, I like to work from a strengths based approach. We focus not only on what you are struggling with, but also what you have done well in the past or are currently doing well. I believe it is as equally important to focus on strengths and effective skills, as it is to focus on weaknesses and maladaptive behaviors, so that you can gain greater awareness and deeper meaning on your healing journey. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to: Focus on supporting improving self-esteem, accessing inner strengths and resilience, and helping to learn more about self by exploring thoughts and feelings. Provide tools to learn how to manage difficult emotions so that you can meet your identified goals. Normalize that healing is about understanding our fragile parts--shifting from places that keep us stuck, and going to places that help us soar.

Let's be real. Anxiety is a b!tch. You know the kind I mean. Heart racing, chest tight, skin crawling, lying awake at 3am when you have to be up at 6. The kind that doesn't care how put-together you look on the outside. Most of my clients grew up in environments where they had to stay on guard just to get through the day. Emotionally unsafe, physically unsafe, or both. They learned early that keeping quiet, going along with things, and making themselves small was the smartest way to avoid getting hurt. And it worked, for a while. The problem is, survival strategies don't just turn off. So now you're people-pleasing in relationships you're not happy in. Biting your tongue when you should be speaking up. Telling yourself "it's fine" when it's really, really not. You know that voice in your head that says I should be over this by now? That's not clarity. That's the trauma talking. Here's what I see in my clients before they start working with me: they're exhausted. Not tired, exhausted. Drained by the constant hum of worry. Distant from the people they care about. Too spent to return a text, too anxious to be present, too guarded to actually rest. They carry it all in their chest like a weight they've stopped noticing because it's been there so long. You deserve something different. Not "managed" anxiety. Not white-knuckling your way through the week. Actually different. Setting your own terms. Saying no without a three-paragraph apology. Showing up in your relationships without shrinking. Feeling okay in your own skin without needing someone else's approval first. If you want to ditch the anxiety, break out of people-pleasing, and finally start living on your own terms, I'd love to help you get there.

Why do I keep arguing with my family? Is there a disconnect within your social or cultural identity? Maybe the sense of belonging comes with straddling two or more cultures. Feeling overwhelmed by the weight of heavy expectations? Any of these issues can bring stress, confusion, regret, and a sense of isolation. I would love to help. Are you tired of overthinking everything—relationships, school, work, finances, and what’s coming next in life? Do you find yourself always thinking ahead, planning details, and trying to stay on top of everything… to the point that it feels exhausting? Maybe your mind rarely slows down. You replay conversations, overanalyze decisions, and put pressure on yourself to do things the “right” way. You may find yourself feeling anxious about the future or wondering whether you’re somehow falling behind. Internally, it can feel exhausting to always be this “on.” If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many highly capable people feel overwhelmed by the pressure to keep it all together while quietly struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, and emotional exhaustion. And often, it’s not simply a time management issue—it’s the mental and emotional load of carrying too much for too long. I specialize in helping individuals manage overthinking, overwhelm, anxiety, and perfectionism. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and driven, but feel mentally stretched and unable to fully enjoy where they are in life. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and grounded. Together, we’ll work to untangle anxious thought patterns, quiet the constant pressure you place on yourself, and create more space for clarity, confidence, and ease—without lowering your standards or stepping away from what matters most to you. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Most of the people I work with reach out while they’re still trying to make sense of what they’re experiencing—they just know they’re tired of feeling constantly “on” or stuck in cycles of pressure and overthinking. Please reach out today to start your care. I’m happy to answer any initial questions and help you determine whether we’d be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you in feeling more grounded, more present, and more like yourself again—so life can start to feel a little lighter.
“It’s always best to believe in one’s self, but a little help from others can be a great blessing!” I view each person as the main character in their book of life. Each book contains stories of joy, sadness, exploration, struggle, and most importantly, HOPE. My goal to assist in exploring these stories, whether you encounter depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, intersectional struggles, or self-esteem issues...I am especially sensitive to those impacted by LGBTQ issues, religious minorities, activists, uniformed public servants, and those experiencing depression. I utilize a multiculturally sensitive approach, borrowing from ACT, DBT, MBCT, mindfulness, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to develop a collaborative and eclectic style to treatment, tailored to your needs. Cultures all over the world have a common truth: life is suffering. Through therapy, I hope to create a safe and empowering environment to help you withstand and overcome that suffering. I welcome you to reach out to start this journey.
