Every person will encounter difficult obstacles in life, but your past or current struggles do not have to define your future. I have devoted my life to empowering people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, and other issues, helping them find long-term solutions. I provide therapy in a non-judgmental, supportive space with the goal that you will recognize your value and capacity for wholeness regardless of what holds you back today. As a former firefighter/paramedic, I have cared for many people in crises. Now, I am passionate about guiding those in crisis toward lasting mental health. I engage in therapeutic strategies including solution-focused CBT, neurofeedback, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and mindfulness. I look forward to encouraging and assisting you in overcoming any obstacles hindering your mental wellness. Together, we can strive for long-lasting resolution, exploring proven methods to fit your unique experience. Also, to those in the LGBTQIA+ community, you are welcome here. Queer clients have found me to be a safe space for our work together.
Hi there and welcome! My name is Vanessa Almodovar, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I am from the DFW area and received my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I deeply believe that healing and restoration is possible in our lives and that we are more than our circumstances. Life can become overwhelming sometimes; but with support, encouragement, and guidance, it is possible to see growth and life change. I specialize in working with those experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other life stressors. I am trained in EMDR and employ other evidence-based practices to meet each person where they are on their journey. If you are ready to learn new tools and take one small step in your journey toward healing, I would love to walk alongside you and help you to achieve your goals!
I offer both medication management and counseling. Problems that I treat include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and sleep issues. Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances for ADHD nor anxiety.
I am particularly interested in, and trained for, working with clients who are struggling with or are in recovery from eating disorders. I have extensive experience working with adults (18 and older) who have co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and trauma. I also find fulfillment in supporting people who are navigating life transitions: tackling the college experience, embarking on a new career, becoming a parent, empty-nesting, or encountering a less-expected transition such as grief or a relationship ending. It is common for people who have had an eating disorder or who are currently struggling with one, to find that transitions challenge their recovery process with increased stress. Counseling may be especially helpful during that time. The most important component of effective therapy is providing a therapeutic relationship built on warmth, empathy, genuineness, unconditional regard and trust. Using a “Health at Every Size” (HAES®) philosophy I draw from several different therapeutic techniques to tailor my approach to your unique needs. My primary goal is to help you understand how your presenting concerns developed and what is perpetuating them. I then support you in accepting or making changes that align with your values and goals. I offer a free initial phone call during which time you and I can explore together if I'm a good fit to help you reach your goals. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about therapy and help you feel ready to begin this process. You're welcome to send me an email with any questions you may have!
Experiencing a transition to a new place and life change can bring on a great deal of stress and anxiety. It's a lot at once. I would love to help you navigate the changes in your life and the best path that allows you to feel better and empowers you on the way. Or if you have that difficult relationship in your life that causes you stress and frustration, let's figure out what's going on and the best steps forward.
Many people start thinking about therapy because, emotionally, they don’t feel good. Maybe your emotions end up taking you for a ride and you feel helpless to stop it. Emotions come and go, but they can sometimes feel endless, especially if they are intense. Or maybe you are struggling to get in touch with your emotions and you find it difficult to connect. Either way, what ends up making it worse is the power struggle we get into with our own emotions. We want to push away the ones that feel bad and force the ones that feel good, but that never works for long. Wouldn’t it be easier to avoid the power struggle completely?

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your personal, academic, and emotional goals. I believe that college is a time of significant growth, and my approach is centered on empowering you to navigate life transitions, manage stress, and build healthy coping skills. You're used to holding it all together, but inside it's starting to feel like too much. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to break. Maybe you're overthinking everything, feeling stress in your relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences. I’m a family trauma therapist and I’d love to help you heal from family chaos. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with those impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, and intergenerational trauma. I specialize in trauma, EMDR, and working with overachievers who are ready to move beyond coping and create meaningful and lasting change. My approach blends EMDR, parts work (IFS), and attachment-focused therapy to support deep, lasting healing. Rather than just talking through challenges, we’ll gently process past experiences, understand the parts of you that feel stuck or overwhelmed, and work toward a greater sense of safety and connection, both within yourself and in your relationships. If you grew up in a chaotic, unpredictable, or emotionally unsafe family, you may now find yourself struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a constant sense of pressure to be “okay.” Even when life is stable, your nervous system may not feel at ease. Reach out if you're ready to stop just surviving through the day and start thriving in life.

Hi! I'm Brittney, a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Reflection and Grace Counseling, offering telehealth therapy to students throughout Texas. College is new territory to navigate for anyone. You're managing your own schedule, navigating new relationships, and maybe questioning everything you thought you knew about yourself — all while submitting your assignments by 11:59pm before it's late. If you've noticed a little more anxiety creeping in, more self-doubt than you expected, or a general sense that everyone else has it "all figured out"...that's actually really normal. And also a great time to talk to someone. I work with adults who are tired of shrinking themselves to keep the peace and ready to build a relationship with themselves that actually feels real. My approach is warm, grounded, and judgment-free. You don't have to perform okayness here. This chapter is a big one. Let's make sure you're not navigating it alone.
Life is filled with questions that don’t always have clear answers—therapy with me offers a space to examine these questions and make sense of them in a way that resonates with you. While I have a particular interest in supporting men, emerging adults, and second-generation individuals, I welcome the opportunity to work with anyone looking for support. I invite you to bring what you're experiencing so we can process it together. I view therapy as a collaborative conversation. I offer a warm, laid-back presence, facilitating space for you to be yourself. With an existential approach, we'll explore deeper questions along with day-to-day challenges. The relationship we build is central to the process and my goal is for you to feel supported and valued every step of the way.
