My approach is one of empathy and compassion where I will hold space for all of your emotions while you navigate through difficult life events. My counseling style is warm, nurturing, and person-centered and I use interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - helping you work toward acceptance and awareness of the full range of your emotions, thoughts, and sensations in order to better understand yourself. Some of the specific issues I address include eating disorders, self-image, body-image dissatisfaction, life transitions, and anxiety/depression. I have experience working with those in recovery from eating disorders, with a focus on binge-eating and emotional eating, and body-image issues. I believe that through a deeper understanding of ourselves, we can begin to make decisions with clarity. During our work together, we will work on developing a better understanding of your values, in order to live a life with more purpose and meaning.
At Severance Therapy, we’re proud to be a diverse collective of clinicians and staff—some of whom identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and others who are fierce, informed allies deeply committed to this community. What unites us is a shared dedication to providing affirming, culturally competent care in a space where authenticity is celebrated, not questioned. Many of our clinicians bring personal experience with addiction recovery, sexual identity exploration, and the complexities of queer life—from coming out and dealing with internalized stigma to navigating sobriety in a culture that often centers around substances. Others have spent their professional lives walking alongside queer clients and communities, engaging in continual learning, advocacy, and personal reflection to be the kind of allies who show up loudly and consistently. Our team includes LGBTQIA+ therapists and allied professionals from a range of racial, cultural, and gender identities. Some are in long-term recovery. Some are sex-positive and kink-aware. Some bring academic expertise, while others bring years of boots-on-the-ground experience in queer spaces, harm reduction, and sober living. Together, we offer a dynamic, compassionate, and deeply relatable therapeutic environment—because we know healing happens best when you feel seen, heard, and understood by people who truly get it. Why do I keep arguing with my family? Is there a disconnect within your social or cultural identity? Maybe the sense of belonging comes with straddling two or more cultures. Feeling overwhelmed by the weight of heavy expectations? Any of these issues can bring stress, confusion, regret, and a sense of isolation. I would love to help. Hi, nice to meet you! I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a better and stronger version of yourself. It is my belief that life's experiences teach us things that may no longer be the most helpful or true today; even if they were true at the time in our past. When we don't adapt and remain flexible, we find ourselves in a web of mistaken beliefs, thinking errors and unresolved and unprocessed life problems. As a result, it becomes too hard to find our way and manage life's challenges in the here-and-now. I love to be present and help my clients find a new way and authentically experience change. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs. My areas of expertise are in Anxiety, Depression, Women Issues, Life Transition, Christian Counseling and Self-Esteem issues. I use an Eclectic and Holistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use humor, challenging questions, and a warm open-minded approach. My favorite activities when I'm not at work are to explore and appreciate the outdoors by traveling, yoga, shopping, and spending time with my family and dog, and trying new exciting restaurants. Selecting a therapist can be difficult because it's not easy to know exactly who you are getting. "Will this person really know what she is talking about? Is she a total Quack? Will she actually be able to help me?" These questions are the norm for clients and uncertainty comes with the territory of what you are searching for. It's my hope that we will make a great team and you will become a better and stronger version of yourself.

I am here to help you navigate what is important to you, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together!
Vada Counseling is therapy for and by queer Texans. Our licensed therapists provide safe, supportive, in-person and virtual therapy via individual, couples, family, and group counseling. All our therapists are queer, intersectional feminists, and use liberation-based (anti-oppression) therapy approaches. Whether you’re wanting to explore your queer identity, thinking about coming out, struggling with depression or anxiety, or feeling the impact of all the anti-LGBTQ+ bullsh*t legislation, we're here for you. In addition to gender and sexuality, our specialties include anxiety/panic, climate distress, dating, depression, existential crises, first-gen issues, intergenerational trauma, neurodivergence, racial/cultural identity, school stress, self-worth, self-harm and sexual trauma.
Hello! I am an LMFT in Texas and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as we explore your experiences and build tools for healing. Clients describe me as a calm presence who can sit with the intensity of their feelings without pulling away. Together, we’ll explore the experiences that shaped you, untangle what’s no longer serving you, and build tools that help you cope, heal, and move toward the life you want. I would love to help you navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and neurodivergence. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected you’re in the right place. I am a narrative therapist who believes healing happens when your story is heard with care and without judgment. I aim to understand how you’ve adapted to hardship and help gently unblend anxious, depressed, angry, or hurt parts from your core self. I also offer EMDR to support those facing trauma, stress, or grief. I believe therapy is a place where joy can be recovered, hope can be rebuilt, and your story is honored. I became a therapist because I’m passionate about walking with people through hard seasons and helping push back the darkness in the world.
You may be seeking therapy after a breakup, sudden loss, or overwhelming life experience — especially if you’re someone who is thoughtful, self-aware, and used to functioning at a high level. You understand your anxiety, trauma, or relationship patterns intellectually, yet when something triggers you, your body and emotions react in ways you can’t think you're way out of. Insight alone hasn’t brought the relief you expected. You need a different kind of support. I'll help you find change beyond talk therapy. We can work together in weekly sessions or extended EMDR intensives for accelerated healing-especially when weekly therapy feels too slow or life doesn’t allow for a long-term pace. EMDR helps the brain & body process what’s still “stuck,” so triggers lose their intensity and old patterns no longer run the show. If you’re ready to explore whether therapy with me or an EMDR intensive can help you feel real relief, schedule a free consultation call. I typically respond within 1 business day & we’ll start by talking through what you’re hoping for and whether this feels like a good fit. In-person sessions in East Dallas & online therapy in TX, FL, LA, and VA.

Together, we will create a space to address these challenges.
I'm a compassionate and solutions focused counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life challenges with clarity and confidence. If you’re battling trauma, addiction, an eating disorder, or just feeling lost- I know how it feels to be told that your issues are “too complex” or that you’re just “too broken” to fix. I’ve worked with so many people who have been disappointed by therapy in the past, people who felt unheard, misunderstood, or let down by unprofessional providers. I get it, and I’m here to tell you that this time can be different. When we work together, we’re not just going through the motions. We’re diving into the heart of what’s holding you back, together. I’ve helped countless clients, just like you, break free from the cycles of pain, addiction, disordered eating and toxic habits. Many of them are now living free, healed, and empowered lives. You can be one of them!
Mental health is defined as the ability to love, and the ability to work; to be able to have stable and emotionally fulfilling relationships with others, to take care of your daily needs, and to be able to enjoy using your time creatively and productively. As a counselor, I aim to join with my clients and help them identify their troubles, explore their origins, and create unique solutions to help them live the life they hope for. While my work is very relational and focuses more on meeting the unique needs of individuals, I use specific techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have seven years experience working with young adults, especially neurodivergent young adults on the autism spectrum or with ADHD or learning differences. I particularly enjoy vocational counseling and helping clients navigate life transitions. Many of my clients have complicated diagnositic histories and may have struggled to connect with other counselors in the past. I accept insurance through Headway and also accept private pay through card, cash, check, or Zelle. Please feel free to ask me about sliding scale.
I offer both medication management and counseling. Problems that I treat include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and sleep issues. Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances for ADHD nor anxiety.

You're the one everyone counts on. You show up, you achieve, you hold it together — and somewhere underneath, you're exhausted and not sure why nothing feels like enough. Maybe you grew up translating for your parents, managing everyone's emotions, or learning early that needing things was inconvenient. Maybe you've never called any of that trauma, because it just felt like life. I work with high-achieving adults, adult children of immigrants, and couples who are tired of functioning well and feeling terrible. Together we get underneath the coping — the overworking, the people-pleasing, the hyper-independence — and into what your nervous system has been carrying all along. My approach is warm and direct. I'll reflect back what I notice, ask the harder question, and hold space for the parts of your story that don't have easy language yet. I use Brainspotting and EMDR alongside talk therapy, because some things live in the body and can't be reasoned through. I'm Surabhi Jagdish, LMFT-S, with over 12 years of experience. I see clients virtually across Minnesota, Texas, and Colorado.
I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.

I look forward to working with people who are ready to make changes in their lives and engage in the therapeutic process. Much of my sessions include discussing goal setting and thinking of various tools and techniques to achieve those goals. I utilize CBT methods, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches to help all clients realize their ability for change and understand they can achieve happiness and alleviate things like anxiety and depression.
