People come to me because they are struggling and feel stuck or overwhelmed. I see lots of college students in my practice and specialize in working with people who are challenged by anxiety, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (level 1) but I have experience with many different issues. My approach involves providing information about how the brain works, how to use it as your ally instead of an enemy, and how to find strength in the very things that challenge you. (ex: There are so many wonderful things about having ADHD!) I do this in the context of interpersonal relationships where we talk about things like identity and communication/conflict resolution skills. I also work with people going through a major life transition. I will help you to sort through your feelings and options, work with you to find insights that inspire positive decisions and changes, and help you to be patient with yourself as you work to figure things out. I pride myself as being an LGBTQ affirming therapist. 15 minute walk from WCU. I also have free, off-street parking. Rates listed below are my discount rates for registered students and not my full rate.

Within a few sessions, we will build a rapport that can serve as a home for getting better perspective on the difficult experiences you have had. You will soon feel confidence and clarity of mind return, and you will see relationships improve. Online sessions provide you with the convenience you may need during these busy years.

Whether you're adjusting to campus life, feeling stressed or burned out, struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating concerns, dissociation, low self-worth, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to navigate it alone. At Sacred Forest Counseling, I strive to provide an unconditionally accepting space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. I also offer a unique nature-informed approach to counseling for students who find healing and clarity through connecting with nature. From my experience and current research from the EcoPsychology field, it can be said that healing often happens when we slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and draw wisdom from the natural world. Whether we meet outdoors or virtually, therapy is always tailored to your individual needs and goals. I have experience working with undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students and understand the unique pressures that can come with balancing academics, relationships, work, and personal well-being. Thank you for taking the first step and reaching out for support. My name is Gina Hernandez from Guided Path Therapy and Consulting and I am licensed in NJ, PA and Fl. Therapy is not a one size fits all, so I customize the sessions based on the goals you have for yourself. Therapy offers a space that’s just for you — to talk things out, understand yourself better, and learn tools to manage everything life throws your way. Whether you’re struggling with motivation, relationships, identity, or the weight of perfectionism, you don’t have to handle it alone. Our sessions focus on: Stress and Anxiety Management: Learn healthy ways to cope and find calm. Self-Confidence and Identity: Discover who you are and what truly matters to you. Relationships and Communication: Build stronger, more authentic connections. Balance and Boundaries: Find peace between school, work, and personal life. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you grow into your best self. You deserve support that understands the challenges of college life and helps you navigate them with confidence and clarity. Your journey to a better tomorrow starts here and I would be honored to be there with you on this path.
