Can you imagine what it would be like to turn the volume down on your anxiety? Anxiety is an essential part of our lives — it can keep us safe, healthy, and motivated. However there are times when our bodies can start to feel anxious, or we can be flooded with anxious thoughts and the worry is no longer helpful to us. If anxiety and anxious behaviors have started to feel like they are taking over your life, then you are in the right place. My approach is grounded in a collaborative, client-centered framework. Together, we will identify and address the specific fears and compulsions that impact your daily life. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and board-certified art therapist (ART-BC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I provide trauma-informed care for adults struggling with anxiety and OCD. I use the evidence-based practice of exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy to support clients in gaining control over their anxiety. I have a passion for working with people who want to live more fulfilling lives with a more genuine connection to themselves and others. My clients feel more empowered in their actions and relationships instead of letting their unhelpful thoughts and behaviors take over, while growing a more accepting and compassionate perspective towards themselves. It’s always a good session when my clients feel challenged and motivated to work towards their goals between sessions. I believe that much of the therapy work is completed between sessions just as much as it is in the hour minutes we will spend together each week. As a therapist, I’m not afraid of bearing witness to your pain and fear while finding ways to recognize joy and hope. I truly believe in each of my clients’ ability to grow and change. As an Exposure-based therapist, I’ll encourage you to take steps to approach your fears and reclaim your life. As a woman of color, I am sensitive to the ways that identity and mental health intersect and impact each other. I take an action-oriented and direct approach. Therapy is an investment in YOU, and I value all that my clients put into this work. I aim to “work myself out of a job” with each client, because I know that the goal isn’t to stay in treatment forever– it’s to live happier and healthier lives.

Hello! I’m a trauma-informed psychodynamic therapist with clinical experience covering a wide range of issues in adolescence and adulthood. I am well-versed in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma recovery/PTSD, grief, relationship and communication issues, intimate partner violence, out-of-control behaviors, problematic substance use, and school/work stress. I will support you in finding deeper feelings of fulfillment, ease, self-alignment, and possibility in your life. I work primarily with college students and people in the years after they leave or graduate college. Changes in social life, feeling a part of something bigger or not, family dynamics, and/or figuring out work can be tough on top of whatever you were already dealing with. The political moment brings feelings of despair, rage, and loneliness. People I work with are deeply affected. You don’t have to figure everything out alone. I work well with individuals of all backgrounds. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and with years of experience in non-monogamous relationship structures, I work with many queer and trans people and people in non-monogamous relationships. I deeply respect the unique lives of the individuals I work with, and I love to witness their progress toward their goals. My therapy approach is psychodynamic - grounded in the understanding that past experiences influence us consciously and unconsciously. I use a strengths-based, whole-person perspective, and I also offer skills and tools using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) depending on your goals for therapy. I work alongside you in a process of exploration and meaning making. You can expect me to be warm, humorous, genuine, and straight-forward. I would love to hear from you.

You’re doing a lot for everyone, and at the same time you’re trying to hold on to who you are. Maybe you’re figuring out adulthood, balancing school or work, managing relationships, or trying to feel like “yourself” while also being there for other people. Big changes — starting college, career shifts, breakups, becoming a parent, identity changes — can feel overwhelming, lonely, or like a loss. You don’t have to sort it out alone. This is a space to say what’s really going on, without having to minimize it or make it sound okay. I'm real, warm & nonjudgmental. I work with people who are stressed, burnt out, anxious, hurting or just trying to stay afloat. I have deep experience supporting college students, young adults, people exploring identity & people living with self-harm or suicidal thoughts. We’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening & figure out what actually works. Therapy doesn’t have to be formal or scary. It can just be you and me, talking honestly about what you’re carrying and what you want next. If you’re ready to feel more grounded and supported, reach out. I’m currently accepting new clients and offer flexible scheduling. Send a message or request a session to get started.

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania, and I completed my PhD in Counseling Psychology. Student who benefit most from therapy with me are interested in learning more about themselves--their close relationships, their goals (even if they feel uncertain or lacking), and their sense of self. Perhaps you are feeling depressed, anxious, or you're currently in substantial distress due to important changes or stressors in your life. Perhaps life is going well enough, but you simply feel empty, lack meaning, or you want more out of life. Adjusting to college can be challenging, whether it be (a) moving away from home, making friends, and adjusting to academics during your first year, (b) attempting to develop or maintain a social life, or "catching up" during the "Sophomore Slump", (c) choosing an academic major, or (d) completing a Sr thesis or figuring out what you want to do after graduation. These are all common reasons that bring students into counseling with me. Exploring one's developing or conflicted sense of racial, sexual, or gender identity are other common reasons students seek psychotherapy. I strive to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is safe, nonjudgmental, and nurturing.
