Therapists for college students near 97201
Hale Counseling NW provides warm, relational therapy for college students navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, ADHD, identity questions, relationship struggles, family conflict, and major life transitions. College can bring a lot to the surface: academic pressure, loneliness, perfectionism, burnout, changing family dynamics, dating challenges, friendship issues, and uncertainty about the future. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel less alone, and get support making sense of what you are experiencing. Our therapists are down-to-earth, collaborative, and trauma-informed. We also offer low-cost therapy with graduate student interns for students looking for affordable care.
Our practice is tailored to each unique individual, couple, group or family that we have the honor to support. We provide you with a comfortable and relaxed setting, confidentiality and safety, warmth, humor and a genuine interest in helping you achieve your goals and realize your full potential. We are open to working with whatever your concerns are and to who you are without judgment. We will guide you through your healing journey with patience and empathy as we explore together the patterns you want to change or the uncomfortable feelings you need to process. We welcome your feedback along the way and we will provide you with connection and support. Upon completion of your process, you will find that unhealthy lifelong patterns are released, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and addictions are a thing of the past, relationships are healthier and peace within yourself is achieved.
This time of life can be overwhelming, so full of change and new that sometimes it feels like too much. It can be confusing trying to figure out who you are, what you believe, how to be in relationships with others and even with yourself! Developing autonomy is exciting and it can also be scary to have to “adult” so much. You are taking responsibility for yourself, but probably still feel like you are ‘not quite’ an adult. I love to help people navigate this in-between time.
I specialize in work with adult survivors of abuse, as well as anxiety and adjustment issues. I offer compassion and tools to help meet your goals. I offer both in person and telehealth appointments. If you're struggling and need help, reach out so you're not alone. I respond to all contacts within 24 hours.
If you're looking for an experienced therapist who is warm, uses humor, actually trauma informed, and has lived experience as a neurodiverse person I might be the right fit for you! I do both therapy and ADHD assessments. While I specialize in neurodiversity, trauma, and dissociative disorders I can work with many different issues like anxiety, depression, stress, identity, and chronic health issues. I also have extensive experience working with people with complex trauma and dissociative disorders like DID and OSDD. I also work well cisgender and gender diverse folks and identify as genderfluid myself. One of my parents is an immigrant and I enjoy working cross culturally and with other first generation Americans. I do personal antiracism work and do my best to be aware of my own biases. I also know that I make mistakes. I can't promise perfection, I do promise healthy repair in the relationship when I've hurt someone. As a therapist I generally take an integrated approach drawing from DBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness based therapies, ADHD skills training, parts work, clinical hypnosis and three stage trauma therapy. I am a practicing Buddhist and am comfortable working with people across different faiths or none. I don't take a one size fits all approach to therapy. What therapy with me looks like will depend on you and what you need!

Fiona understands how Asian American culture can shape identity, self-esteem, and relationships. She supports students in navigating dynamics with parents, peers, and romantic partners, while building communication skills and learning to set boundaries without guilt.

I work with college and graduate students needing help with executive function and possible ADHD related concerns. Executive function skills help us navigate life and get things done. People use these skills to perform activities such as planning, organizing, prioritizing, paying attention to details, managing time, sustaining attention and focus, self regulate and build awareness of how they function and interact in the world. A person challenged by their executive functions can experience difficulty and stress in school, at work, in social settings and relationships and at home. If you would like to learn more about this and/or get support/assistance feel free to contact me! I would like to help!
Your feelings matter and your concerns matter- nothing is too small or insignificant to get support on in therapy.
