We treat mental illnesses and conditions, shame, guilt, anger, depression, anxiety, sadness, loneliness and worry. We also teach cutting edge classes for controlling emotions, discovering how others see us and changing that to something more preferred, teaching clients how to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, understanding personality conflicts that destroy relationships both personal and business and more. I am Lane, easy to talk with, caring, non-judgmental and eager to help. Please email me at lanestokes18@yahoo.com and lets chat about all that we can do for you. Consultation is complimentary. If you think the fee of $190 is too much, consider the speed with which we work. I can teach you in five hours what it would take you five years to learn in weekly counseling about emotions. Maya Angelou once wrote, “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” This perspective is at the core of the therapeutic process, and central to the work I do with my clients. Together, we work to better understand the challenges faced in their unique, personal journeys, and in so doing, facilitate healing and growth. I am a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in addressing such concerns as depression, anxiety, early childhood and adult trauma exposure, PTSD, impaired self-worth, and relationship challenges. As a therapist, I specialize in working with current and former athletes, students, and high achievers who are navigating challenges with perfectionism, self-criticism, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, and identity. My practice is rooted in supporting girls and women strengthen their confidence and redefine their success. Whether you're navigating life during or after sport, facing academic or career pressure, or trying to rediscover who you are outside of achievement, therapy can be a powerful space to pause, reflect, and heal. Many of my clients are used to excelling. From the outside, they seem driven, focused, and capable. But internally, they may struggle with self-criticism, burnout, imposter syndrome, or a sense that they’re not “enough”, even when they’re exceeding expectations. I use evidence based strategies to help clients in creating a more empowered sense of self! My approach is collaborative, affirming, and non-judgemental. I’m a former collegiate athlete and current coach, so I have first-hand experience seeing and experiencing the impact on young women. I am also currently PhD Candidate researching depression, anxiety, and perfectionism seen in athletes.
