We all want to be happy, belong, and feel loved. Yet at some point in our lives we struggle, get bogged down, and feel stuck. Getting support can help you understand what is going on and help you discover new ways of thinking about yourself and your relationships. My goal is to help bridge the gap of where you currently are and where you want to be. I view my role as empowering you to make those changes in your life and supporting you to make healthy decisions, feel more at peace, and cultivate a happier and more confident self. I specialize working with Asian Americans in their twenties and thirties struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. I am especially interested in supporting individuals work through issues of identity, barriers in cross-cultural communication, and generational family of origin pain. I hope that I could be a support to you in your journey wherever you are. I would love to speak with you today to hear more about your situation and see if we are a good fit in working together.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, using a variety of methods to encourage change and growth. I understand it can be difficult to build trust and talk to a stranger about past or current traumas, stresses, and worries. I will make every effort to create a safe space to work through those events and issues, while providing support. It is always an honor for me to witness change, to be a part of growth and to see my clients thrive and find more of themselves.

Perhaps you are having a hard time adjusting to college - you may be dealing with stress, overwhelm, or figuring out how to balance academics with the life you want to have in college. Maybe you're trying to figure out your sense of identity and who you truly are as you enter this new chapter of life. Or maybe you've recently experienced a major stressor and have no idea how to cope and keep going. As a therapist, I am here to walk alongside and guide you through your journey. It takes strength and courage to ask for help. That is why I strive to create a safe, caring, warm, and nonjudgemental space where you can begin your journey towards healing and growth. I currently have limited availability; please reach out to inquire of openings (as of 06/17/2026). Growing up Asian American in San Francisco, I had the privilege of feeling like “the majority” rather than feeling like “the minority.” When my mental health took a turn in my teen years, I was fortunate to have an Asian school-based therapist who reminded me of a “cool Asian aunt.” I remember feeling at ease seeing someone who looked like me in a space I thought was only meant for white people or people who were “that crazy.” This therapist showed me that therapy could be warm, kind, and even involve the humor I needed to say the hard stuff. She showed me that people like us could receive support and care through a listening ear. (I thought the only kind of care Asian elders gave was via cut fruit.) Years later, I hope to share this same safe experience as the person now sitting in the therapist’s chair. Whether you are living out your parents’ dreams or just trying to make it through the week, I can help you explore whether your path aligns with your values and supports your growth. I promise I won’t sass you the way my former Asian auntie-like therapist might, but I’ll make sure we keep it light where it needs to be, and hold space where it’s dark. We will discover who you are and what you need, with the utmost care (and a dash of humor, because therapy is hard enough as it is).
