Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Previously, I worked at San Diego State University, California State University Long Beach, Loyola Marymount University, and Metropolitan State University of Denver. I specialize in working with students to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I enjoy helping students develop greater self-understanding, explore aspects of their identity, and better relate in relationships.
Are you someone who typically "has it all together," yet is struggling underneath the surface? Do you find yourself easily overwhelmed with stress, anxiety, or other difficult emotions? Maybe you struggle seeking out support, even during times of challenge or transition. You're ready to feel at peace and to know your worth. Your teens and twenties are full of possibility, growth, and challenge. You’re exploring your identity, your future, and how you fit in - which can be simultaneously exciting and terrifying. Whatever it is you’re dealing with - stress over school, relationship challenges, substance use, family conflict, anxiety, depression, etc - therapy can help. I don’t practice one-size-fits-all therapy. Each person is unique, and comes to therapy for different reasons. You’ll find that our counseling sessions feel collaborative and supportive, honoring your personal strengths and drawing on authenticity, humor, and compassion to help you reach your goals. I typically see clients online via video sessions, but if you're in San Diego, we can also meet at a local park or beach for a walking/Ecotherapy session!

As your therapist, I will hold a space of unconditional positive regard based on my personal belief that each person has unlimited potentiality for change, healing and transformation. Just like a lotus blossoms in muddy waters, our current dissatisfactions, conflicts and pain can led us to deeper happiness and health. My approach is humanistic, holistic and heart-centered. The interventions I will invite you to participate in are mindfulness techniques (meditation, breath work ), somatic work (noticing sensations in your body, movement, yoga), expressive arts (art therapy, poetry, journaling , writing), experiential (role plays, chair work, guided imagery) and cognitive behavioral therapy. As your therapist, I will extend invitations to use these tools and modalities and will work with to find approaches that fit your current needs. I offer individual eco therapy sessions in nature as well as Telehealth sessions.

I enjoy working with client's of all ages. I work hard to get to know each of my clients and then create interventions and goals that fit them individually. I believe that you are the author of your own story, and I am just there to help you re-write chapters and create new ones. I enjoy working with young people who want more for their lives but aren't sure how to get there. I am passionate about decreasing stigma around therapy, changing people’s experience of of therapy, or maybe what they believe therapy is like. The name of my practice, Rebel Well, represents peoples need to be a little rebellious at times, challenge the norms, challenge the voices in their heads that keep them from thriving. A little rebellion can be a good thing. My biggest belief in this work is you are not the problem, the problem is the problem. I want to support each person holistically, and that can mean different things to different people. I practice from a client centered approach meaning that I use each client’s individual presentation to create a plan, interventions, and goals.
