Nkechi Saleh
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
Nkechi “Kay” Saleh, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than eight years of experience providing compassionate mental health care across a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health, residential treatment for at-risk youth, and substance use treatment programs.
Kay works with adolescents and adults and has extensive experience supporting individuals with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodivergent conditions. She also has experience treating individuals with psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
Her approach to psychiatric care is trauma-informed, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and collaborative. Kay understands that reaching out for mental health care, especially for the first time, it can feel intimidating. Her first priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing your concerns at your own pace. She takes time to understand the whole person, not simply a diagnosis or list of symptoms.
Students often appreciate Kay’s warm, relaxed, and down-to-earth personality. She believes psychiatric appointments can be professional without feeling cold or impersonal. Clients have described it as refreshing to work with a psychiatric provider who feels like a “real human being.” And while she takes your mental health seriously, don’t be surprised if a corny joke occasionally finds its way into your appointment.
Kay welcomes individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and provides inclusive, gender-affirming care. She works collaboratively with each person to develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects their symptoms, experiences, goals, and preferences.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating ADHD or other neurodivergent challenges, recovering from trauma, or simply realizing that you may need additional support, Kay’s goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your mental health care.
